Windchill Local Browser went Poof!

Hello All

We have about 2/3 of our users who suddenly, and without warning, lost their
browser view of their local workspaces. The attached image shows what is
going on.

We can still work and save local, and use an independent browser connected
to the server to check in & out.

However - it appears the local web browser interface is gonzo.

We've looked at the usual suspects, but nothing appears to work.

Any ideas?

What version of IE and Creo Parametric are they running?

You may want to try the config.pro option browser_limit_to_ie9_mode yes

I would start with clearing browser cache, than Java cache. If that did not help, move .wf folder to <new_name>.wf. Restart creo. it should fix it.

One of our users had the same problem. None of the files in his workspaces would show in the imbeded broswer. This would not happen every day though. Only at random times. He recently got a new computer with Windows 7 and the ever popular IE 11. We tried clearing the cache, changing the config.pro option, etc. None of that fixed the issue.

We ended up going back to IE 10 and that solved the problem. Here is a link that tells you how to do that:

Hope this solves your issue!
