Material and covering for the fasteners

One type or size of the fasteners can have numerous coverings and materials.

How to reach this in IFX?

Only by creating numerous identical tables (dat files) with a different columns for covering or material?

Hi,

one solution is to create different *.dat files, that's right.

But you can also use the Keyword SUBINFO to cover this.

SUBINFO looks interesting. But still need to duplicate a lot of information.

I guess, that is possible using only ONE level of SUBINFO?

Hi,

no other way to add the information than duplicate it.

And yes you are right - SUBINFO only has one level

Thank you for good hint.

ps: My proposition for future use: to incorporate Bulk-item. Need to automatically (copy name, standart, quantity from fasteners to Bulk) create in the assembly one Bulk-item for fasteners by one size. In Bulk's parameters will be possible to set covering or material for this set of fasteners. In this case will be possible to transfer information from Bulk to BOM or PDM.

Or Subtable like in AFX
