snap to center?

Boy, what I have forgotten in a few years! I was a Solid Designer user back when I worked for Agilent/HP. Then I switched jobs and CAD to Inventor. Now I'm not doing and have not done CAD in about 3 years, and have forgotten SO MUCH!!! (especially about the Co-Create product CAD style/methodology). Anyway, I can't seem to figure out how to select the center of radii or circles as a starting point for construction lines, etc. Is there a way to do this? I often want to create geometry at specified distances from holes, fillets, pad edges, etc. Also, is there a way to project construction lines from one workplane to another? Thanks! -Kieran

Change your catch from All to Center. Or, use the following keyboard shortcut. Hold down shift ctrl and then select the circle or arc. Yes, you can project construction geometry from one workplane to another. Open the contour dialog box, Select Project 2D Edge. Make sure that the catch setting allows you to select from all workplanes.
