Good Afternoon everyone! I have a few drawings that take quite a while (20 - 40 minutes) to open if you open the drawing without opening the assembly first. If I erase not displayed, I can open the Master Rep of the assembly in 2-3 minutes. Once the assembly is open the drawing will open in 3 - 5 minutes no problem.
These are multi-sheet drawings & can be up to 11 pages of sections of the same assembly. We use a simplified rep on the drawing to exclude quite a bit of detail and the operator in charge of one of these drawings is very thorough about his simplified reps.
The big concern is Why does it take so long to open these drawings - without the assembly first? There are times when these drawings will also unexpectedly slow down and drag out each mouse click. Not sure if these issues are related but they can be pretty painful when everybody is screaming for drawings.
We are running WF4 M092 - I can't change this.. don't bother 😞 within Windchill 9.0 M030 - yep, you guessed it, I can't change this either....
