Exponential Arc

Gurus,

What is the best way to create an exponential arc in a revolved feature? I
was thinking that creating a sketch through points imported from Excel would
be the easiest. Any other suggestions, examples?

Thanks

Exponential Arc

Hi,

Wouldn't you prefer to use a parametric curve instead? It would give you a
better approximation than using points and run a spline through them.

It has been mentioned that a "Curve from Equation" is the way to do this.
While this is more of what I want than a conical arc I am having trouble
with writing the expression in a way that ProE will recognize it.

Any tips?

Thanks

If you are having trouble getting an equation into Pro/E just plot 10 points on the line and connect them with a spline.

You could also plot 10 points then overlay an approximate conic to get a smoother surface.

(Y = X² +6) has points at (0,6)(1,7)(-1,7)(2,10)(-2,10)... You remember it no matter how hard you tried to forget it... Keep it simple...
