Is your CAD expert leading the 3D CAD selection towads disaster? Consider Creo Elements/Direct !

The new development of CREO originates from the idea that a variety of CAD users have different tasks and need different tools

Most often the chief engineering will trigger a CAD selection, to provide ‘him’ with the right tools. Since he is the expert, his saying is valued. Even if it’s not in line with the business goals.
Many CAD selections over the years were based on that decision. Strange but often true.

Even Jim Heppelmann acknowledges this when presenting CREO.
“You must use the same tool” he says.
“You must all use the simple tool, or you must all use the sophisticated tool”.
“The sophisticated user win all the time in that discussion. The casual user lost the battle.”

Many Pro/E users today are thinking 3D CAD is to complex.

When PTC asked users of all CAD products what their biggest CAD frustrations were, over 4000 people responded. Here are the top results:
• 32% Making changes to a CAD design, especially when built by someone else
• 19% No good way to make productive use of data from multiple CAD systems
• 14% Difficult to create/validate multiple configurations of big, complex products
• 10% Fielding requests from other departments who want a piece of your time
• 9% Training and mentoring new/less savvy users

Fact is, the above mentioned issues only exsit for Pro/E users.

Jim Heppelmann also says: "Is direct software easier? " He stops and answers the audience "Yeah"

Is your CAD selection (or Tool) in need for a review? Consider Creo Elements/Direct !
