Pro Mechanica Calculation

Hallo

Schwerwiegender Fehler; Rechenlauf beendet
Tue Oct 26, 2010 04:08:43

Abschnitt: "Running Standard Design Studies"
Themen: "Using Multiple Working Directories",
"Managing Disk Space Resources
"

Vielen Dank schonmal

Gruß Björn

Hello Bjorn,

The majority of the community speaks English. Would you be able to repost as such?

It could be a swap space issue, Bjorn. Are you running 32-bit or 64-bit? And how much RAM do you have? 64-bit OS would better allocate it's resources with less swapping.

If you're on 32-bit, look on PTC for the TPI regarding the "/3GB Switch". It may help.

MFG

Hey
Sorry... now in english 😉

I made a "RushThrough" calculation with Mechnica which failed after 10 hours with the following end of the Report:

"......"
Fatal Error; Computing run terminates
Do Oct 26, 2010 04:08: 43
A disk read error occured with the equation solver, which could be attributed to insufficient disk memory and/or directory/file access rights.
Further informations can be found in the following documentation:
Clause: "Running Standard Design Studies"
Topic: "Using Multiple Working Directories"
"Managing Disk Space Resources"

The Working directory has got 180GB free Space and the MainDrive has got > 230 GB free Space. I'm not really having a clou about the problem. One possibility could be that the virtual memory is to small.!??!

The PC is a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual, Core Processor 6000+ , 3.00GHz , 2,00 GB RAM , virtual memory 2046-4092 MB , WIN XP SP 3 , Pro/E WF 3.0

A Screenshot and the complete Error Report is in the att. of my first post.

Thanks so far
Björn
