RE: General doubts in Proe.

No offense, but this exploder list is not designed to teach people how to
use Pro/E.

This is a community for Pro/E users to share their knowledge and help each
other when things are not working correctly or you did not get the result
you expected. This means that you should already be trained to use the
software.

If you are not getting the desired result from a Variable Section Sweep due
to the complexity of a shape. You can seek the knowledge of others who may
have experienced the same type of scenario and could help point you in the
right direction. We don't ask.... "What is a Variable Section Sweep?"
This is something you should already know by investing in your initial
training.

Just wanted to point this out because I don't want you to think the users
on this list are rude with their responses. We are here to help each
other, but it's not a training resource. Think of it as a Doctor getting a
second opinion or consulting with another Doctor who has done a particular
procedure more often and probably has a better understanding of what could
have gone wrong with your procedure.

Yea. That's it. We are all Pro/E Doctors here. We already have our
Medical Training behind us.

Damián,

I have to disagree. Isn't the basic definition of teaching "sharing
knowledge"?

Ravinandan,

If you were to ask any one of your questions you would probably get the
help you want. But you are asking a list from basic to advanced that are 3
or maybe 4 classes worth. You need the training, but if you are stuck on
something that you are doing now, ask the community.

Phillip,

I agree that the purpose of this group is not as a training medium nor is
it to be used to replace training provided (paid for) by the companies we
work for. If his company requires him to know all that was on his list right
now to perform his job, he is vastly out of his depth and should be given
training or should not be in his position.

Him being new to ProE, and this list, I thought most of the responses he
received tended to be a bit harsh instead of educational. My post was
intended to let him know to get the training he needs ( as almost everyone
pointed out) and to use this group for the "specific" issues (as you point
out).

Ravinandan,
Find a Student edition for training at home.
Use intensively what you have at work.
Try to have a training book for pro/e and trying you'll get very good
results.
And ask specific, one at a time questions.
Good luck.
