It could be datums and the like not being hidden? This is an interesting
topic. I always get some grain/blur as well. I've never really figured out
why.

A clear case of processor/memory damage. Clearly your silicon components
have become smudged and small amounts of dust have made it into the CPU. I
recommend that you clean out the computer with compressed air and then
bathe it in alcohol for a few hours. Let it dry and turn it back on slowly.
always keep the computer level to make sure the bits don't shake out of the
drives.
