Make viewsets "shareable" like queries, charts, reports and dashboards

It would be nice, if the non admin users could share their self defined viewsets.

E.g. a Project Manager defines a "Project Working Area" using a separate Viewsets with e.g. a specially designed Dashboard (including fixed Project filter). Now he wants to share his viewset with his Team members to improve the team cooperation as all can utilize the same "view on the Project".

This would also cover a widely known problem cases:

- a user has two working environments, a Laptop and a Desktop PC. Currently he has no option to sync theses environments in terms of integrity viewsets, or any other gui settings.

- a user has to transfer his environment, e.g. because he got a new a Laptop or a Desktop PC. Currently he has no option to "copy" his environment in terms of integrity viewsets, or any other gui settings (apart from coping the "%USERHOME%/.mks" directory, which might have unintended side effects).

Hi,

    There is no plan to support this feature in the current GUI, we do have plans for a new UI Project & hence marking this for future consideration.

Thanks

Status changed to: Acknowledged

@PTCModerator

What exactly does it mean, if an IDEA has "Status changed to: Acknowledged"

Will this idea be implemented somehow in the upcoming release?

Community Manager

Hi mrump,

An idea being marked as Acknowledged means the product owners have reviewed the idea. There are multiple idea statuses that an idea will go through on its way to potentially being added to the product:

If an idea has been accepted and will be added to a future release, product managers will mark it as "Implementation in Progress", and then "Delivered" when it is in the product.

Thank you,
