Rename OPCServer

Hi,

Is it possible to rename the OPC server without altering it through the ProgID, such as by modifying registry settings?

I am seeking this option because I have a program  that fails to recognize the redirected ProgID. Consequently, although the OPC Client can see the tags, the program cannot. The necessity for changing the ProgID arises due to a server migration; the tags are originally configured with KEPServerEnterprise version 5, and I am currently in the process of migrating to version 6.

Although it definitely NOT recommended it appears it has been done before with a Kepware competitor called Matrikon. Here is a link to the article describing the process:
