Disappearing Datums

Disappearing Datums

Can anyone please explain why datum CSYS on certain parts (pipe fittings) will suddenly become hidden without any user setting them that way? We have family tables of fittings with a "port" (csys) on either end, as well as default datum planes, several axes etc... depending on the part. Regardless of the part, it seems that anytime we need to re-define it in any way, whichever datum we need toplay with has been hidden at the layer level. We have to open the part, unhide the datum, savce visibility and go back to our assembly. Day or two later, the same part will have hidden datums again. There are only two users, and we are within site of each other... so I know no one is messing with us.

Any thoughts?
