Exporting VRML files with texture to 3D print on a Stratasys J750 printer

Hello,

When I try to open a VRML file in Majics or Polyjet Studio, I lose the texture and color. I am using Creo 3.0 and have set the following configs:

save texture with model

texture search path

vrml file duplicate material

I will attach a successful VRML file that came with the Stratasys J750 machine and I will attach a unsuccessful VRML created in Creo 3.0.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

save_texture_with_model only tells that the texture file is embedded in the model, not that the texture as applied to the surface of the model is saved. It's saving part of a program rather than the output of the program.

It looks like Solidworks has the same limitations as Creo seems to have. If you want more than solid colors, you need to use Photoshop or Rhino, as suggested by http://usglobalimages.stratasys.com/Main/Files/Best%20Practices_BP/BP_PJ_StratasysJ750%20Color%20Selection_0316b%20Web.p…

Hi,

1.] Creo texture is picture, only. It is not real physical texture. If you need to apply real texture on model surface, use 3DCoat software (http://3dcoat.com)

2.] I thought that colors are assigned to models in Stratasys software, because it is connected to real 3D printer and knows what material are available in printer containers.
