I am trying to create a post file for our machines which run SIEMENS 840D controllers.
our machines require two files for our 4 axis merged VTL , left head , right head, and I can't see how to make the GPOST output two separate files. instead of one file with both heads in it.
we have been using ICAM as our post, but we are now trying to set up GPOST to process our codes.
NOTE: Refer to the GPM documentation for the OP command information.
The three basic types of merging lathes are:
Control Does Merging, G Or M Codes Define Merging, One Set Of Word Address Characters - For this type of merging, the postprocessor processes all CL records in the sequence encountered. G or M codes assign the data to the primary or secondary head, control synchronization and designate the controlling head for spindle operations. Fanuc and most Japanese controls use this method of merging.
You can specify whether synchronization codes are required. If so, then specify the Word Address format for the axis synchronization code; the initial synchronization code; the increment between synchronization codes; and whether the code is output with turret, spindle, and coolant. PeopleNet PFM
