I have installed PTC Creo on a virtual machine in Hyper V, Windows Server 2012 r2, and then I connect to the VM through Windows Remote Desktop. It works fine when I run it locally on the server but it won't work when I remotely connected to the VM.
Anyone that have had this problem and found a solution for it or doesn't exist a solution for the problem?
I've attached a picture of the failure down below.

Hi,
probably your license is locked, therefore you cannot run Creo via Remote Desktop. You need floating license to be able to do it.

Hi, thanks for the quick response!
How do I obtain a floating license? I've searched on Google on the floating license but didn't find any related information.
They cost extra. You have to pay for the floating option. You will need to contact your PTC reseller.
Hi,
when you buy Creo license you have to decide what package you want to order. PTC price list contains floating and locked packages. This package type is fixed and cannot be changed. If you own locked package, only and need floating package >>> you have to buy it .

Slight clarification. You can request a node-locked license file for any floating licenses you already own. (I have done this in the past for special reasons.) You just can't go the other way without increased cost (as you mentioned.)
