Looking for potential use of "Creo Expert Mold Extension" in different mold types

Hello,

I am currently using the base EMX extension and I noticed the extension utilizes injection molding. I wanted to know if the EMX extension is capable of creating plates/molds for pulp molding?

Thank you.

Hi,

EMX is of course developed to be used by Injection mold designers. So far, I am not aware that pulp molding companies are working with EMX, however you can have a look if some functionality can be of use for you.

Some examples:

a) Designers can use the Moldbase assembly to create a molding tool based on a skeletion model. This skeleton model is designed in a way to set up standard injection moldbase assemblies. In case a pulp molding assembly structure is similar and the plate suppliers can be used by you, the you can also workl

b) Designers can assemble standard components like screws, cooling, ejector and guides and the related cutouts. We offer many components from standard injection mold suppliers. Here again the question is if these suppliers are also used in pulp molding.

You can browse through the tutorial and see if there is some functionality for you:
