Hi everyone,
We want to get an outside opinion on this issue. There is a few questions
in this.
We use material removals in mfg during the sequence creation. We only use
manual material removals because the automatic removals sometimes fail
upon regeneration. Does anyone else have this problem??
The problem we have with manual material removals is that when going into
Vericut, these are not removed so our workpiece looks like the finished
state of the part or operation. When we ran into this, we thought we
could just suppress all the manual material removals and that would give
us the correct uncut state of the workpiece, which it did. However, in
turning the area and grooving sequences fail initially. You go into
redefine and everything looks fine, you click ok, and the the toolpath
recalculates and regenerates successfully. BUT the toolpath readjusts
when looking at the uncut workpiece giving us undesirable toolpaths. All
of this is done to try to make Vericut work.
Any thoughts???? Should we be doing this different? Is there something we
are missing?
I will post any findings
Thank you,
Jeff Voegele
