Mold Machining Extension

Would anyone care to comment on the Mold Machining Extension (MMX)?  What does it offer over and above what is in the NC complete set module for 3 axis milling?

I don't have the Mold machining package but I believe it is meant to make mold machining easier and your wallet lighter by about 5k.

Not sure how many people have this package, but after machining molds with what we have with the complete package for 20 years I see no need for this additional expense.

Just my 2 cents.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your reply.  I've been using the complete package for mold and electrode machining for a number of year and agree it works well, but I feel it isn't without its idiosyncrasies that can take a bit of time and effort to work around on occasions.  They aren't enough to compel me to spend an extra 5k though!
