Hi Everyone,
I know this is not a specific Pro-E question, but I would like to know what
is the most cost effective method to produce a logo / trademark in a
Polypropylene part? The current part design is embossed with a logo from the
mold tooling. However, as the color of the logo matches with surface color,
it does not stand out prominently.
Some options I have considered are Pad Printing, molded-in labeling, etc.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a lower cost / good value option? Also, I
noticed the current design of this part has a zero degree draft (I would
think it would case excessive wear on the mold tooling). I have seen a
document claiming PP requires at least one degree draft per side. Does
anyone have any experience or design information that would support
designing a PP part with ½ degree draft angle or less per side?
On a completely unrelated topic, I am in southern California this week
working with a small company. I would be interested in having information on
local (San Diego or vicinity) machine-shops with in-house CNC capability, as
I usually do not work in this area of the country.
