fonts

I would like to use fonts not listed in the charachter/font pull down, yet I know that they are on my machine. is there a path I can specify somewhere?

Pete This is what I did to load "romans" 1.I made a copy of the font that was located on my local drive. C:\Windows\Fonts 2. I changed the file name From: romans_.ttf To: romans.ttf (Removed Underscore) 3. I placed the font in the following directory Program Files\proewildfire 3.0\text\fonts

Try setting the config.pro option pro_font_dir. For example, pro_font_dir $windir\fonts will give you all the fonts installed on your system. Be careful for what you wish! Regards

Peter, why do you say to be careful for what I wish? I would really rather know about a pitfall before I fall into it

Only because if you've installed a lot of word processing software (Word, Publisher, InDesign) you are going to have hundreds of fonts - and these are all going to appear in the list of available fonts in Pro. Some people might consider that nirvana, but when you have 300 choices it becomes almost impossible to decide. There's no real technical issue involved. Regards
