Hi folks. I'm struggling on a multi-axis tool path. I need to side mill a surface with a tapered endmill. I have selected Traj-5x for an NC sequence, which sounds like the way to go because it asks for the surface(s) to be machined and the surface(s) where the tool tip will follow. That woks great with a straight end mill, but how do incorporate a tapered end mill and drive with the taper side of the tool? It doesn't give me an option to sketch a tool while in 5x, and the side angle selection box while in the tool setup window doesn't seem to control anything except for viewing representation.
Is this a instance where I need to model up the tool and use it as a solid tool?
Any ideas would be appreciated on which direction I might explore.
