opening .prt and iges files with different versions of proe w.f.

Hello ProE users...

I have questions concerning .prt, iges files (and other neutral formats) and proe w.f. 3 and 4.

1. Using proe 3, is it possible to open and program milling sequences over iges files that were created from proe parts designed originally using proe w.f. 4??

2. Is it possible in any way to open and use proe files (.prt, .asm, .mfg) in w.f. 3 , that were originally created in w.f. 4 ??

thanks, best regards

Al.

Al,

There is a Plug-in available for free download for maintenance paying customers called GCRI that will allow you to open WF 4.0 files in WF 3.0. Browse to ptc.com, set your cursor on the resource center brick and select free downloads. You will be able to see the features in the model tree but you can't edit them. However you can add features that can be re-read back into WF 4.0.
