tool identification

How do I getmy post to show what type of tool I am using. T01 (3/8endmill)

I can output the tool number, but the description isn't there.

Thanks, Byron

Byron,

The tool comments are PPRINT statements in the NCL file. If you set your
post to output Operator Messages to Tape File you will see them in the .tap
file. This is set in the Option File Generator on the Operator Messages
menu.

Bryon,

In addition to Fred's comments, you need to configure Pro/NC to output
the tool information to the NCL file (as PPRINT statements).

Each workcell can have a PPRINT table associated with it. You can set
up the PPRINT table to output many different pieces of information in
the NCL file.

You can select which information is included in the NCL file as follows:
[Workcell] Opens the "Machine Tool Setup" window.
[PPRINT]
[Modify] or [Create], as needed.
Select items to include in the NCL file by setting the option to
"Yes".
