that's an interesting question.

I guess the Creo 4.0 release that is at the M130 datecode it had many bugs fixed... but..is that better than the newest Creo 7.0.0.0 ?

Creo 4 m130 was released after Creo 7.0.0.0.

Hopefully all of the changes PTC made/planned for Creo 4 m130 made it into Creo 7.0.0.0, but no guarantee of that.

one of my Linkedln connection told

"There are no more date codes in Creo now Sreemesh...the product is now on Subscription and there are maximum 4 to 6 versions in one year...one major release every year is how Creo works now...there is nothing called as M010 or M240 now...Creo 7 version now is 7.0.0.0...next will be 7.0.0.1...7.0.0.2 and so on... "

pls validate 👆

See this PTC CS article explaining the changes in release numbering.

https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS279884

Next release (what was a maintenance build) of Creo 7.0.0.0 will be 7.0.1.0.

Creo is also now released in a major/minor release schedule.

Creo 4 and Creo 7 are major releases and are 3 years apart, Creo 10 in 2023 will be the next major release.

Minor releases are yearly between the major releases. Creo 5 and 6 were minor releases with a 1 year lifespan. Creo 8 will be a minor release in the spring of 2021.

Hi Sreemesh, yes, the product is on subscription and we offer attractive conversion offers, if you are considering this. If you like, you can reach out to a conversion expert to discuss potential benefits for you. Here's the link to the subscription conversion site with a contact option! https://www.ptc.com/en/try-and-buy/subscription

Hope this helps!
