Advanced visualization of mesh

Hi! I'm new in this community.

I'm an academic user of MathCAD and this is the first time I hear about Mathcad Prime.

I use MathCAD in several fields (from everyday calculations to advanced algorithms development); it is a very important tool for my research activities.

It seem that MP will replace MC; is this correct?

I'm interested to test it!

I can say in advance that a desired feature is a tool for advanced visualization of mesh. I use MC to develope algorithms for structural analysis and mesh morphing (I have written several FEM solvers using MC)...

Are those FEM solvers available for sharing.

Welcome to the forum Marco.

Mathcad Prime is the new version of Mathcad. This is PTC's main change since acquiring the software, they have revamped the software changing the whole interface.

The testing of the product is underway with the final version due out this year. You could contact Mona (PTC consultant) to see if she requires any more testers.

Hi all,

@Ziyad Saeed

Not the whole stuff for obvious IP reasons; however you can have an idea of my MathCAD "style" with a glance to this doc (in Italian I'm sorry) http://www.uniroma2.it/didattica/TCM/deposito/Mathcad_-_triangolo_piano_TCM.pdf located in the download area of my didacicts home page. This is a plane stress FEM solver that works very well. I use MathCAD as the base for developing advanced calculation tools (take a look here http://rbf-morph.com/😞 in some cases MathCAD is connected to the final application (via COM automation) in other the MathCAD implementation is used at feasibility level and then used as an helper for debugging the final application (usually programmed in Fortran or C). But I think that this topic deserves a separate topic (if there are members in the community interested to discuss it).

OK can you put me in touch with Mona?

You can send Mona a private message through this website. Click your name at the top of the page and on the right hand side of your personnel page there is an option to "compose a message", select that and you can search Mona through there.
