Automatic Table of Contents

Ability to auto-generate a table of contents for long documents (e.g. Microsoft Word).

Internal hyperlinking of TOC tags would be a benefit, too, to be able to jump to the right place in the document with 1 click.

Can you add some more details about what you'd like to see. What would you like listed in the tables of contents:

section heads,

subheads,

other elements?

Do you want other cross-referencing too? If so, please describe.

This would be extremely useful. It is a real pain doing this manually. Especially if you are modifying a large document and need to update all the page numbering.

Headings with different levels with automatic numbering (1, 1.1, 1.1.1, 2.1.4.6) would greatly simply creating a larger document. A table of contents should collect these headings and allow to adjust up to what level they should be displayed.

We have actually done this using scripted text boxes in Mathcad15.

A TOC option is under consideration but is dependent on having text styles and internal hyperlinks (both also Under Consideration). Internal hyperlinks are needed to allow users to tag a region in the worksheet and then insert a link to allow that region to take screen focus and text styles are needed to allow text regions to be setup as headings that can be linked.

As noted before, a TOC option is under consideration, but is dependent on having text styles and internal hyperlinks. Internal hyperlinks are needed to allow users to tag a region in the worksheet and then insert a link to allow that region to take screen focus and text styles are needed to allow text regions to be setup as headings that can be linked. 

Text Styles is being implemented right now, planned for Prime 9.0 release. Internal hyperlinks is being considered for one of the next two reelases.
