Breaking-up a long mathamatical expression, which would occupy more than 1 row, into several lines.

As it was a case in the previous versions of Mathcal, for example in 14 and 15, I ask you to add a capability of breaking a long mathematical expression (equation), which would occupy more than 1 row, into several lines, if required.

I do many calculations involving that kind of long equations pertinent to, for example, material balance calculations of chemical processes. To my knowledge, the new generation Mathcad Prime (up to version 3.1) does not offer that useful capability. I found this issue irritating and demotivating towards Mathcad Prime and, for that reason, I still use version 15 as a principal tool to do my work, although I have Mathcad Prime 3.1 installed.

I am confident that there a many more engineers and scientists who will appreciate this improvement. I addressed this issue many months ago when speaking to your South African representatives (Product One) receiving unsatisfactory advice of how to overcome that weakness. However, fixing that problem is in fact is your job, not of the foreign agent who is not involved in any development of the software.

I am confident that there are many engineers and scientists, who will appreciate the suggested improvement.

I will appreciate if my suggestion will be taken seriously and the requested improvement will be implemented soon.

Regards,

J.A. Latusek.

Jerry,

You can vote for your idea too.

Equation split/wrapping is planned for Mathcad Prime 4.0 release (which is scheduled for the 4th quarter of 2016 year). More about Mathcad Prime 4.0 new features you can read here: Mathcad Prime 4.0: some new updates
