Change the structure of the solve block in Prime

The sheet that Mike posted in this thread serves as a good example:

http://communities.ptc.com/message/163528#34816

The solve block is huge, and can't be shrunk beyond a certain point. It consists mostly of white space, and occupies far too much of the page. I can get rid of some of that white space by putting the cursor in the different areas of the solve block and backspacing, but that is a real PITA! If I do do that, then I can't read the labels on the left of the solve block because they are all overlapped. When doing this I have also managed to get the solver section above the constraints section. In Mathcad I could write that, very neatly, on one line, and that' what I would want to do in Prime too.

Also, I don't want to see the border of the box all the time. I would like to be able to make it invisible unless I click on something in the solve block, in which case it shows up. The same goes for program blocks. Can we please get rid of the ugly double line on the right. It serves no purpose whatsoever.

I totally agree with you Richard.

Why couldn't they be left the way they are???

Richard,

The more I see Prime being used in threads on the forum, the more I dislike the solve blocks. After the advancements in the graphs and results tables, I am more than disappointed with this new feature and will be shocked if these solve blocks are not scrapped in future releases.

Anyone from PTC like to discuss the reasoning behind the change?

Mike
