Formatting refinement

Having just started to use Mathcad Prime, I am finding that while there is a big improvement on formatting, it is the formatting that needs some more refinement. I would like to see:

1. Adjustable margins - setting each of the top, bottom and side margins independently, just like in MS Word, so that you can maximise the calculation area. Currently you have the option of standard, narrow or wide margins, which resizes all margins by the same amount. I would like the flexibility of having all margins a different size, based on my input (either numerical input for margin size, or a slide bar) to customise the calculation sheet.

2. 1000's comma separator - when dealing with large numbers that you don't want to display in scientific or engineering format, it becomes difficult to read the number. This is something I had hoped would have been incorporated into Prime.

3. Print preview (including icon on the ribbon), so that you can check the format before printing, without resizing the page.

4. Automated section numbering, automated table of contents, and title page so that you can prepare calculations in a calculation report format.

Can I add the following:

Units: I would like to see Kilo Joule (kJ) which is more helpfull and widely used rather than Joule (J) only, the same case with kmole which is not available and finally the following combination of units (kJ/kg °C) which represent specific heat ratio, at the moment its only available as (J/gm K).

I am agree.

Now I must do so:

There is a way to add units into Mathcad, but it becomes a problem when sharing the sheet because the unit will only work on your machine.

Dale,

Mathcad Prime 1.0 already has Print Preview. It's the Page View that you see when you click on the Page View button at the bottom right corner of the status bar. You can also switch to Page View from the Document tab of the Ribbon. Page View shows you the headers and footers, margins, and what will be printed.

Draft view allows you to have a growing space to the right, just as in earlier versions of Mathcad, but anything outside the page margins won't print.

You can extend what prints by choosing landscape and Ledger/Tabloid or A3 for under the Page Size button.

I'll log your requests for the other features.

Page View is supposed to be Print Preview but that is not true. At least in my situation. Please see my post of "Printing in Prime 2.0 - Bottom of Pages Keeps Getting Cut Off."

Would you please attach a worksheet you are refering too in the other thread to see if I can duplicate the issue?

Something else I would like to see is that the grid lines on the header and the body to line up so my lines are in line with each other. See the lines I drew in the header and body in the attached image.

Good request, but you would have thought this should be in place anyway, wouldn't you?

It's a bug. I'm logging it if it isn't already.
