Full text in legends and share variables between sheets

Ability to type in an equation as a legend.

At the very least full text support in legends including superscript and subscripts

Sheet support like in excel. Ability to share variables between sheets.

Use case. Photovoltaic-Battery-Generator Design

Sheet 1: Solar position calculator : Independent sheet

Sheet 2: Solar irradiation estimation incorporating local climate. Depends on Sheet 1

Sheet 3: Load estimation : Independent Sheet

Sheet 4: Photovoltaic Panel Simulation and Design: Depends on Sheet 2

Sheet 5: Battery charging/ discharging simulation and design : Independent sheet

Sheet 6: Diesel generator load simulation and design: Independent sheet

Sheet 7: Tie all of them together for a complete Hybrid system: Depends on sheet 4,5, and 6

Prime has a new multiple tabbed worksheet interface, but I'm not sure if it has the ability to call variables from multiple worksheets.

Are those worksheets part of a workbook. If i send someone a workbook it should contain all the contained sheets as well. Does it do that or is it tabbed interface.

Mathcad already has the ability to reference other worksheets. What extra is involved in your examples?

think about Excel Sheets

One file multiple subfiles. Easily managed as one project and backup version tracking of one file.

If having 10 different work sheets. which one is the main one that depends on the rest?

I guess i can start renaming my main file as "Main file (click me first please).mcd"

If i want a standard library of files that will be common to other projects as well, then yes i will use individual worksheets rather than duplicating them as sheets on the project.

Well that's another good idea, but is what part of a workbook?

Prime has the option to have multiple tabbed worksheets, which I would have thought, well I hope has the ability to reference individual tabbed sheets like Excel - Otherwise I can't see the advantage.

I have the same problem because our design documents tend to use the same input data for most calculations.

For example

Pipe OD, wall thickness, steel grade....ect

If one of these parameters are changed all documents have to be revised. You could make a master sheet like you said which contains all the input data and reference that file in each of your documents. This would save you manually updating for each calculation. Not the best solution, but is a workaround.

what would be nice is that if i have a really long document like 30 pages, i would like to assign a section of the document to be shown in a Tab.

So instead of scrolling up and down a long document looking for a particular section. i can just click on the tab assigned to show that section. will make life lot lot easy.
