Restoring 3D plotting

Dear David,

I would like to see some "old" features restored.

In particular, I am running Mathcad 14 on Windows 7, 64 bit. 3D plotting does not work. When I try I get the message "Failed to Launch Server Application" and I have to reboot my computer.

I put this message on this forum three days ago and have dozens of viewings but no answers. Nor do I have an answer to the question of whether PTC is trying to repair this obvious problem. Nor can I get any answer from Mathcad, since I am a single user and don't have a service contract.

Fixing this problem cannot be that difficult.

I'll make a couple of observations.

To date, I am not aware that any patch has ever been released for a Mathcad version other than the current one.

Mathcad 14 is not the current version.

So I can't answer that for sure, but I think the answer is likely to be "no'.

Check that MSXML Version 4, Service Pack 2 is installed on your computer.

I just posted a number of suggestions that have helped others with 3D plots. And in answer to your question, yes we are planning on addressing this issue.

We are looking at entirely new 3D plots for Mathcad Prime 2.0. And we are prioritizing 3D plots viewing issues for Mathcad 15 maintenance releases.
