Tables - Results Tables

Tables - Results Tables

I think Mathcad Prime's table feature could be significantly improved by allowing data to be passed to them, as shown below.

I must add that I believe the feature has been improved since M15, but PTC has the chance to further enhance this feature with minimal effort.

Area 2 and Load 2 would be passed to the table by inserting the variable name in the placeholder once the user had inserted a table. The size of the table would be dictated by the size of variable.

Mike, it may sound silly but its the way its implemented here: you have to vote youself on your ideas, too 😉

@MikeArmstrong  I like this feature too and even the values used as an example hit home for me.  I'm a 20 year structural engineer in the heavy construction sector.

So if I want to use Mathcad over Excel, I need to frequently use multiple scenarios instead of single sets of calculations times the number of scenarios I am investigating.  I could display specific scenario input like this:

But in the end I could have a similar table, reusing the variables '#' and 'Scenario'.  As it stands I need to build a more complex matrix or do fancy formating to make a results table:  (not so bad if I do say so myself, but not the best)

This will lead into another feature request about having a global option to have all vectors treated as lists (Vectorization Ctrl-Shift-^) .
