Thermophysical properties needed

Thermophysical properties needed

I saw that PTC wanted our top three changes. So here's my third request.

The addition of a thermophysical property system would be a huge boost for ChE users. This would even be better than a ChE e-book.

I have found what looks like a good package, Prode Properties. http://www.prode.com/en/ppp.htm . It has properties, including VLLE interaction coefficients, for over 1500 compounds. It also has built-in flash routines, etc. Those built-in routines make it like having an e-book.

It works with Excel and Matlab and the owner says he's had it working with Mathcad in the past, but he doesn't have a Mathcad license so he couldn't help much. I tried using the Mathcad developer directions, but I guess I don't know enough about what is needed in C++, Visual Studio, etc. It only costs about 250 Euros, so I guess support before the sale isn't very productive for him. I would pay and take a chance that it is what I need, but maybe PTC would like to look at it first. If PTC adds this or something else soon, I won't spend the time or money getting this installed, but I need to know if there is anything in the planning for thermophysical properties?

If PTC has no other plans, then here's a suggestion: I buy the package, PTC helps me get it working with Mathcad, and in return, I provide an evaluation of it's capabilities and usefulness back to PTC.

If any users have Prode Properties or another package like it working with Mathcad, please let me know!

I have a lot of files for Mathcad with functions of thermophysical properties of substans.

Users of my server can:buil-in

a) Do on-line calculation by help the Mathcad Server - one example http://twt.mpei.ac.ru/MCS/Worksheets/Thermal/SatLine-R-22.xmcd

b) Download this functions (for Mathcad 15 and partly for Mathcad Prime) - one example http://twt.mpei.ac.ru/MCS/Worksheets/Thermal/SatLine-R-12.xmcd

c) Do references on this function - see the picture.

d) Use DLL for have some this function as a buil-in ffunction - see www.wps.ru

If PTC has a wish we can do colmplate this work and provide Mathcad users this functions and examples with using this functions.

Below are attached some materials, including e-book for Mathcad - "Materials and Energy Balances" by Ray E. Desroisiers (http://webdoc.sub.gwdg.de/ebook/e/2001/mathcad/m_e_bal.html). I hope these materials will be helpful.

Thanks for the info Valery. However, I didn't see the VLLE properties with interaction coefficients in your system. So the Prode package is still the answer for me unless I find something else.

Thanks for the info Vladimir. I went to that site but I couldn't tell what was actually in the ebook. So before I download a 2+ MB file, can you tell me if it has a database of compounds with properties that include vapor/liquid/liquid equilibrium (VLLE) interaction coefficients?

Harvey

No, I didn't see such database in the e-book. The content of this Mathcad e-book:
