We often use Mathcad to document a design configuration and the related calculations, so I'd like to open the sheets for reference but have no need to modify.  I'd rather not keep various PDF files of each sheet and have to deal with keeping them up to date if a worksheet changes.

I'd be happy with one or both of the following:

  • Allow mathcad sheets to open Read-Only without a standard license.
  • Make available a Lightweight Viewer (or integrate into Creo View).

Apparently there was a viewer around Mathcad 8 and earlier, but I've never seen it.

It's a good idea. Using a free file viewer (for formats mcdx/xmcd) or embed plugin to view it worksheets in Creo View Express/Lite.

Apparently there was a viewer around Mathcad 8 and earlier, but I've never seen it.

We are releasing Mathcad Express shortly. Mathcad Express is a free version of Mathcad that allows any user to utilize some selected features of Mathcad Prime 2.0, for an unlimited time.

It can be used as a free viewer.

Mathcad Express has been released in October. It can open Mathcad worksheets and does not require a license.
