Transfer 7.00 to 3.00

I have done some job with mathcad prime 7.0. However, according to my professor's requirement, we can only use mathcad prime 3.0 when we submit our paper. But mathcad prime 3.0 can not open any file that created by mathcad prime 7.0. Is there any method to solve this problem? Thanks.

Yes, there is 'any method' (see also here) and it goes as follows:

- Make sure you have both Prime 3.0 and Prime 7.0 installed on the same PC.

- Open the file with Prime 7, and start Prime 3 alongside.

- Copy regions, one by one, or a few by a few, in the Prime 7 file, and paste them in the sheet of Prime 3.

- Keep your fingers crossed that Prime 3 does not crash, so save the sheet in Prime 3 several times during the process.

- In the end, save the Prime 3 sheet to the end destination file.

You may want to try to enclose all your regions of the Prime 7 sheet into a single 'area'. Then close that area. Now all your regions are assembled in a single region: the area, which you should be able to copy over to a/the Prime 3 sheet. If successful save the sheet. Then, in Prime 3, move all regions out of the area.

Of course, if you used any features of Prime 7 that are not available in Prime 3, these features will not work in Prime 3 (and you may hope they don't cause a crash in the copying process).

Note that PTC did not provide any version of Prime with the capability to save a sheet to a previous Prime version. There seem to be no plans to do so either, probably because 'nobody needs this' ?

Success!
