Actually, it's not true. If you increase the display precision, the 9/10000000 turns out to be superfluous, because Mathcad is simply truncating the decimal.
If you increase the display precision to 15, it is clear that that 9/100000000 is required. The whole thing is just a rewrite of the old standby 9x12345679=111111111. That second term is what converts the written 89 to 90. __________________ � � � � Tom Gutman
