I see my last post was May 5, 2009. Not quite a year. 🙂
Did you get the error on whatever version you are running?

I get no errors om Win XP Pro SP3 running M14 020.
I get 0.307 & 8.161; the algebra is correct; I assume the integral is correct.

You didn't notice that the integrals were the same?

M11 returns the first answer for both expressions, which matches the numerical engine's answer, and which is consistent with the graphs of the kernels.

In case it was done before, please "save as" Mathcad 11.
I will give it a try in Mathematica, just in case.
You can visit the Mathematica web "Integrator" [if still available].

Hi Nathan. Less than a year means you are still a "regular poster" 😉

I see it in M030. As Tom points out, the indefinite integral is wrong.
Another strange bug shows up if you try and evaluate the limits.

Its here in M020 and M030. Reminds me of a very similar bug which was posted here some time ago. I ran into another one which seems to have the same
According to PTC the bug is already fixed in MC15.

Thats really strange. I have simplified it further it it gets more crazy. 1*sqrt(x^2) ist no problem but 2*sqrt(x^2) is causing the error.

Thanks, Folks. Now what? Is there an official alert mechanism or does Mona keep an eye on us?
Did I miss v15 Beta already?

AFAIK there is no MC15 beta. AFAICT MC15 is just MC14M040, renamed to a full release for marketing reasons.

Yep. The indefinite integral seems to be incorrect for the second example.
There are a lot in bugs in symbolic intgegration in MC14, I don't know if this one is among the ones already known.
