Hi
I tried to transfer my mathcad license to my new laptop.
I requested at support, and they sent me that email with the file that i had to save on the new laptop in order to transfer it. But when I'm attaching the file in mathcad it still says that the host id is invalid.
How can i fix this?
I would suggest that you open a ticket with official PTC support.
When you requested a new license file, how did you determine the MAC-address (=Id) for wich the new license should be valid?
Did you turn on or tuner off the Wifi(WLAN adapter between creating the license file and using it?
Actually now that you're mentioning it i realized something.
When i filled the request there was a bracket to fill out with "host id".
I just put the MAC adress from my former laptop - now i realized i probaly had to put in the MAC adress of my new laptop. Right?
Just did the same process again but with the new MAC adress.

The license is bound to the MAC address , so you sure have to use the MAC address of the primary NIC of the machine you intend the software to run on. So I guess you will be up and running once you get mailed the license file for the new MAC.
