I defined a column vector as equal to the transpose of a 1 x 15 matrix (row vector). I verified that the column vector exists by displaying individual elements with a single subscript. I then take the transpose of this vector to get back to a row vector and it refuses to display when I type the vector name and enter =. I have verified that this works by using an example with fewer terms and it worked fine. What am I doing wrong?

You are right. I should have included a file. Here is one. I seem to have done the same things as you but mine does not work.
It appears that my copy of Marhcad is damaged. Your example will not work on my machine.
I did the same in your file, works fine, so you might be right. (used M15)
I reinstalled MathCad 15 and it now works as it should. The one difference I see is my row vector displays as a table rather than as a vector. Is that an optional setting or is it due to the length of the expression?
For a specific result only, select the result
For the default for the file, select an area outside of a region
The on the menu bar: Format>Result>Display Options, change Matrix Style display
Thank you so much.
