Factorizing and Simplifying a Function

Hello all,

I am struggling with Mathcad Prime 2.0 to get my function factorized and simplified. Please have a look at the attached file. The result I want to get is in the embedded image in the document.

Thank you for your help.

yes exactly. Thanks a lot!

The method of Andy worked fine on all my functions except the last one (please see attached document).

Is there another trick to get the result?

You can't collect on t because it's inside the cos function.. There is no way to rearrange the result so that cos is at the start.

On a different note, the use of the float keyword is very dangerous. It does not just change the number of digits displayed in the result, it changes the precision used in all the floating point calculations! What it says in the help in Prime is wrong. In Mathcad 15 it is possible to set the number of digits displayed in the result of a symbolic calculation without using the float keyword. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be possible in Prime.
