I am trying to do geotechnical calculations that I hope to refine.
I hope someone can help me with whether it is possible to set up calculations via an input table with different soil layers, which give different stresses, which are used for equilibrium calculations.
The simple problem below is solved as a simple hand calculation, but quickly becomes complicated when there are more soil layers, and when the rotation point jumps from different layers.
is it possible to do an input tabel with "i" layers and devide all into "n" layers either by index methode ord vector. And then do the rotation calucation by means off "sum" or intregrate with their respektive "hn"
I hope anyone can help me in the right direaction, i am not an expext in advanced use off mathcad
Perhaps this will point you in the right direction
Hi
Unfortunately not really.
I hope to be able to define how many soil layers I have, via an input table and from there make a division of the entire profile into e.g. n=1000 parts. They will then be assigned a stress at the point e=depth*unit weight*earth pressure coefficient based on its respective input from the soil layer from input tabel it belongs to.
From there I want to be able to perform calculation via Σe*depth etc to do calucation.
I have seen this method before in mathcad, but can't really get ahead myself due to lack of skills. Hope you can help
