Hi everybody
Im trying to determinate the maximun of two values with different units, but Mathcad does not allow it.
t:=2m
h:=5kg
Max(t,h)= ?
Help me pls 🙂
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi

And for good reasons! Essentially you're comparing apples to oranges, or pears, or berries... In general it's nonsensical, certainly from a physical standpoint.
Bear in mind that if you express t in mm, and h in kg, then 't' will provide the larger value.
Success!

I need the maximun of these two values.
These formulas represent the maximun reinforcement bar.
That is only possible if
f ' c
is unitless.
Otherwise, as explained, it's nonsense.
Where is the worksheet...?
Success!

Hi,
These are empirical equations the result of both is mm^2. Using empirical equations you must be careful to divide the inputs f'c, fy, b, d by the right units as used by the creator of the empirical equations..

Thanks bro! Have nice day.
