I just started using mathcad 15. i'm having trouble gettting it to calculate the nominal moment, Mn. It gives me answer that is in dimensions of energy. I can take strength divided by area and get force with no problem. I also get an answer in units of energy when i label a distrubted load in #/liner ft. Thanks for any help.
In Mathcad Prime. Same in Mathcad 15!
Terence,
In Mathcad 15 the torque unit is not set as a default unlike some of the other derived units.
But you can add torque and choose your preferred unit as well.
Go to Tools, Worksheet Options and choose Unit System Tab.
From Default units, select the custom option and then insert.
From the Insert Unit menu choose Torque.Pick your preferred units
Click ok
Now each torque calculation will return the result in N.m (if thats what you selected) and not Joules
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Thomas
