Hi,
I have my unit system is set to "USCS" in PTC prime 7, which I am using
When I display an output for a volume, it shows up in "gal", and I manually change it to ft^3
The same for weight, it displays as "lbf" while I want it in "kips".
I do not see "ft^3" is a defined unit in the units menu!
How can I get the units display in ft^3 & kip automatically for the worksheet I am working on?
Thanks
ft^3 instead of gal - use base units:
kip instead of lbf - no way. (At least until we implement custom unit systems.) You will need to re-scale each individual equation.
But when I change to base units, yes, it resolves the gal/ft^3, but it messed the "lbf/kip", it changed them to lb.ft/s^2
A gallon (liter, barrel, etc.) is a unit by volume
capacity.
A cubic foot is a unit of length to the third power.
These are different physical quantities!
We cannot speak - the concentration of the substance in this solution is 20 mg/liter. We should say 20 mg/dm^3.
