I randomly throw 5 points into a square and draw a second-order curve through them.
These are two curves - a hyperbola (71.993%) and an Ellipse (100% - 71.993% = 29.067%).
Is it a new math constants?

Physical Mathematics
Attached is a Mathcad 15 file (in pdf since the live file doesn't post) with some investigations inspired by V. Ochkov's question of the points: deciding whether the conic determined by 5 random points in a square is hyperbola or an ellipse. I'm no closer to identifying the mysterious constant 0.29 . . . but have been having fun with Mathcad 15. Stay tuned.
(The file is large, and taxes the memory of my machine.)

It is a (new) math constant Pi / 12 = 28.06902 %
