When I converted a trial version of 8.0 to a licensed version, the legacy converter was not enabled, and this means 20 years of Mathcad 2001i Professional programs are not available. There is a drop-down menu comment that 'setup' should be run again to enable the legacy conversion option. I see no 'setup.exe' anywhere in the 8.0 files. Does this mean that you have to download a new version of Mathcad 8.0? Why is this not a default load since it is one of the dropdown menu options?

"Why is this not a default load since it is one of the dropdown menu options?"
I can only guess: PTC is preparing for the scenario where never 'real' Mathcad users start to use Prime...
Did you have the converter installed during the trial period? Then I should guess it should be active after licensing...
Here's some more info:
With a license you should have access to the download site. I suggest you download the full installation source for Prime 8, to have it in case you need it some time in the future... I hope you can find it here: http://support.ptc.com/support/mathcad_downloads.htm .
Success!

Dear Luc:
I accessed the latter site and downloaded 8.0 again- and there in the Zip file was 'setup.exe!' I used it to enable the legacy conversion function without problem. I had converted one old file with another trial version (another story), but don't recall whether it had been enabled on this later trial version or not. In any case, thank you.
