I have a mathcad 14 file made by someone else and I am having difficulty to get it to calculate properly
I select 'Calculate now', 'Calculate Spreadsheet' and 'Automatic Calculation' and none of them actually seem to calculate. For a colleague it seems to work and we were unable to find the reason.
for example, my colleague gets a plot here perfectly and I get this:
what could be causing this?
the file is attached

When I first opened your sheet I got a message about a process not being ready. After clicking it away and cancelling calculation in Mathcad the sheet finally worked OK as you can see here:
When I closed the Mathcad sheet, close Mathcad and then opened the sheet again, all worked OK without any disturbing message.
My guess is that the reason are the three Excel components in the sheet which read in data in a total of 7 variables. Guess the message I got the first time was because Excel was not ready yet in the background.
I can only stab in the blue why the sheet does not work on your side. Maybe its the Excel version installed. Maybe its Office365 and Mathcad doesn't like it? If the seven variables can't be read in, of course the rest of the sheet would fail.
In the attached sheet I replaced the three Excel components by direct Mathcad assignments. See if it works for you.

It is definitely something on Excel then. I still didn't manage to get it to work but either way I had to convert this file from mathcad 14 to mathcad prime 9.0
Surprisingly, the conversion tool worked well, and I had to do minor adjustments in the whole file.
I have Mathcad 15 and it works and but the "Linear" takes longer to calculate.
