Mathcad11 and Vista64

John R Archer

Mathcad11 loads into the C:\X86 directory but it will not start. I have run Regtool. I hope that someone has a solution. Mathcad14 was removed first.

John,

Search for the various posts here on Vista. Some people have had success. From my recollection, you have be the administrator.

Unfortunately we made Mathcad 11 a long time ago--back in days of Windows 95 perhaps?

Oh, it's not THAT old...

It came out after M2001i, which is well after W95...

John,

When you uninstalled Mathcad 14, did you repair Mathcad 11? You need to repair all previous versions of Mathcad (back to Mathcad 11) every time you do an uninstall, because they share some of the same components. The repair is under Add/Remove Programs.
