RPM to m/s

How to convert rpm to m/s in prime 7.0? I have velocity of 125rpm for radius 0.32 m how do I convert this to m/s

You cannot convert these.

However, the speed of a vehicle driven by a circular wheel with radius 0.32 m cycling at 125 rpm can be calculated:

Just multiply the circumference of that wheel with the number of revolutions per unit of time it makes.

Hi,

even though a direct conversion is not possible as these are two different kinetic properties, you can calculate the circumferential velocity; see attached sheet in MCP 9

Hmm,

in Prime rpm is different from 1/min.

Hello Martin,

thank you for bringing it to my attention. That does make a difference

Hi,

https://community.ptc.com/t5/Mathcad/rpm-frequency-unit/td-p/285769

There are two types of dashboards of cars:

  • with rpm as radian per min for Mathcad users
  • with rpm as revolution per min for others normal people.
