Hi, Everyone.

Solved! Go to Solution.
Do you have something like this in mind?
Not sure if it a lantern, though 😉
I am not sure if you really mean what you write!
Mirroring at the point of origin (0/0/0) means that the sign of all coordinates is changed. So a minus in front of the whole vector is enough for this.
I appreciate your time and help, Werner.🙂 Is there a any way without "by hand"
Best Regards.

I don't understand your question.
You sure can define a function f(x):=-x and call it with the vector as its argument. But I won't consider this being simpler.
Could you make me a "lantern" as a gift, say: 8 different color on 8 "structure". ( I'm going to
choose and buy a lantern for my grandchild tomorrow, for Mid-autumn Festival in Asia )
Best Regards.

Oh, Yea...h, I prefer a your "Maybe_a_lantern2.",Werner. 🤔
You gave me model of lantern as gift!. And tomorrow, I guess I had a good Idea to buy a lantern as gift to my grandchild ! 😉
(any more structure?)
Best Regards.

You are welcome!
Have a nice Mid-autumn Festival (Sept. 10th this year?) and buy your grandchild the most beautiful lantern you can get your hand on 😉
BTW, the Mathcad lantern may look even better with Lighting on
You may be interested to hear that you can let Mathcad create the necessary structure for the first lantern segment using the parameter representation of a sphere and the function CreateMesh. And, no, you cant evaluate the result symbolically, only numerically.
You may also add sort of a scaling-factor in z-direction
